Die Zukunft hat viele Gesichter. Mal ist sie ein Engel. Mal ein Feuervogel. Mal ein helles, mal ein dunkles Wesen. Wer uns erwartet, wissen wir oft nicht. Aber stillzustehen, abzuwarten ist auf Dauer keine Option. Denn dem Wandel, der Veränderung, dem Umbruch, können wir nicht entgehen. Die Welt dreht sich. Immer weiter und weiter. Alles ist in einem konstanten Fluss. Entweder stürzen wir uns mit aller Kraft hinein, stellen uns dem Unbekannten, mit offenem Visier – oder wir gehen unter.

Die Bilderserie „Crossing Lux“ greift dieses Dilemma der Menschheit auf: Wir wollen, dass alles anders wird und gleichzeitig, dass alles beim Alten bleibt. Wir streben nach Erfolg, fürchten jedoch das Risiko. Wir wollen den Diskurs, fürchten aber den Streit. Wir sehen uns nach Liebe, fürchten aber den Verlust. Diese diffuse Angst vor dem Unbekannten, mal mit einem beinah bedrohlich wirkenden Engel, mal mit einem verführerischen Geschöpf in Gestalt eines Feuervogels. Und mal mit einem Trio dunkler seltsamer Gestalten, die uns den Rücken zukehren.
Die Farbwelt der Kompositionen ist wild, grell und laut – mal harmonisch, mal disharmonisch. Mal fröhlich, mal traurig. Aber immer lebendig.

Pleasure or burden.
The future has many faces. Sometimes she is an angel. Sometimes a firebird. Sometimes a light, sometimes a dark being. We often don’t know who is waiting for us. But standing still, waiting is not an option in the long run. Because we cannot escape change, change, upheaval. The world turns. On and on. Everything is in a constant flow. We either plunge into it with all our might, face the unknown, with our sights open – or we go under.

The series of pictures “Crossing Lux” takes up this dilemma of humanity: We want everything to be different and at the same time that everything stays the same. We strive for success but fear the risk. We want the discourse, but we fear the argument. We see each other for love but fear loss. This diffuse fear of the unknown, sometimes with an almost threatening angel, sometimes with a seductive creature in the form of a firebird. And sometimes with a trio of dark, strange characters who turn their backs on us.
The color scheme of the compositions is wild, garish and loud – sometimes harmonious, sometimes disharmonious. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad. But always alive.
