Die Stadt Miami ist voller Opulenz für alle Sinne. Die Farben knallig, die Frauen exotisch, die Musik leidenschaftlich, die Düfte verlockend, der Ozean weit…
Die Bilderserie „Framed Color Faces“ wurde in diesem Miami-Feeling inspiriert. Viele Wochen und Monate im Jahr verbringt JCW dort in der Welt der großen Kunstmessen und privat mit seinen Freunden.
Die Bilder der Serie sind ein Spiegel der immer pulsierenden, multikulturellen und flirrenden Metropole am Atlantik.
Im Mittelpunkt der Serie steht ein FACE, wohl hispanisch-amerikanisch und hinreißend schön. Das, was das FACE – das Gesicht – in der Oberfläche von sich zeigt, wirkt magisch, sinnlich, fesselnd, aber auch unerreichbar und distanziert. Man spürt Transzendenz, Anziehung und Distanz halten sich die Waage. Es greift nach unserem Unterbewußtsein..
Durch einen Rahmen in den Bildern blicken wir wie durch ein Fenster auf diese Welt sinnlicher Inspirationen. Die Figuren tanzen und es ertönt der Ruf nach “MORE AND MORE“ – Es sind Farben wie nicht von dieser Welt, berauschend, voller Exotik und räumlicher Tiefe, anziehend und rätselhaft zugleich – Nähe verheissend doch auch Unerreichbarkeit.
Teile der Serie „Framed Color Faces“ wurden auf der Art Miami 2019, der Art Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary sowie der Art Palm Beach next level Fairs wie auch auf der Art New York und der SOFA Chicago in den USA durch die AIBO Galerie New York gezeigt. In Deutschland waren und sind sie sie zu sehen in der Galerie Orangerie in Heiligendamm, auf dem Kunstsommer Berlin und der Kunsthoch3 in Frankfurt am Main.

The picture series „Framed Color Faces“ was inspired by this Miami feeling. JCW spends many weeks and months there in the world of major art fairs and privately with his friends.
The images in the series are a mirror of the ever pulsating, multicultural and shimmering metropolis on the Atlantic.
The focus of the series is a FACE, probably Hispanic-American and gorgeous. What the FACE shows on the surface, has a magical, sensual, captivating effect, but also inaccessible and distant. You can feel transcendence, attraction and distance are balanced. It reaches out to our subconscious.
Through a frame in the pictures we look like through a window at this world of sensual inspiration. The figures dance and the call for „MORE AND MORE“ can be heard – there are colors like out of this world, intoxicating, full of exoticism and spatial depth, attractive and puzzling at the same time – closeness promising but also inaccessibility.
Parts of the “Framed Color Faces” series were shown by AIBO Gallery NEW YORK at Art Miami 2019, Art Palm Beach Modern and Contemporary and Art Palm Beach next level Fairs as well as Art New York and SOFA Chicago in the USA. In Germany they can be seen in the Orangerie Gallery in Heiligendamm, at the Berlin Art Summer and at the Kunsthoch3 in Frankfurt am Main.
